About Spoopy Dice

A gray domestic shorthaired cat sits atop a cat tree with a long-haired tabby cat.

Hey, fellow dice fiends!

I'm Kelsey, the creator behind the click clacks. I've been making dice for over two years, and I recently decided it was time to stop keeping them for myself, and share them with other dice-loving fiends! The name of my shop is a combination of my two favorite aesthetics — spooky and cute. I hope my dice bring you lots of spoopy joy and Nat 20s!

All of my dice have been thoroughly examined and approved by Grey, our head dice inspector, and blessed by Juniper, our resident floofy baby angel princess.

FAQS

Are your dice balanced?

You will be hard-pressed to find any type of dice, including factory-made, that are truly balanced. However, I can tell you that my dice roll perfectly random and are fantastic for casual gameplay! Any of my dice inclusions are not heavy enough to affect rolls.

Do you accept returns?

I do not accept returns. However, if you have an issue with your order, please feel free to contact me!

Do you take custom dice orders?

I take a handful of custom orders each month. If you're interested, please DM me on Instagram (@spoopy.dice) or email me here, and we can figure out a plan! Custom sets typically go for $75-90, depending on the materials used and difficulty level.

Where are you based?

Right outside of Atlanta, Georgia!

Why don't you ship beyond the U.S.?

Once I find a cost-effective way to ship items to international locations, I will expand my reach! For now, I'm only shipping to those in the U.S.

What goes into making your dice?

Each set takes around six active hours to make. Here's the TLDR version of my process: I pour the resin into molds I've made; place them into a pressure pot to cure for 12+ hours; sand the lowest and surrounding faces by hand with Zona papers (this is the most grueling part and can take hours); polish every face with a polishing compound and dremel; paint the numbers; and then I finish them off by wiping away any excess paint.

What got you into dice making?

I am an absolute fanatic for picking up new hobbies and learning new skills. A few years ago, I saw an ad on Instagram for handmade dice, and I was like, "Whattttt people make their own dice?!" I jumped on YouTube and watched dozens of dice-making tutorials, many created by Rybonator (all hail our dice lord). After months of research and a little encouragement from my partner, I decided to give it a go! It's safe to say that I have caught the dice-making fever, and I see no end in sight.
